Most Liked

The standout feature at The Wellington is undoubtedly the food; the fish and chips, with its crispy batter and flaky cod, has garnered rave reviews. Guests often praise the generous portion sizes, a fantastic value for the price range. The bar's selection of ciders and craft beers adds to its appeal, particularly for those looking to unwind after work. Karaoke nights inject a dose of fun and excitement, encouraging patrons to let loose and showcase their vocal talents. Friendly staff always earn high marks, contributing to the warm, welcoming environment that keeps guests returning for more. Patrons appreciate the casual vibe that allows them to relax with friends or meet new people from the community.

Most Disliked

Some patrons have noted the absence of a dessert menu, which may disappoint those hoping for a sweet finish after their main meal. Busy times can lead to longer wait periods during peak hours, especially on popular Friday nights. Others have mentioned that while the atmosphere is lively, it can occasionally get too loud for peaceful conversation. A few guests have expressed a desire for more variety in the children's menu, which currently features limited options. Despite these minor complaints, the overall experience remains positive, with many reviewers emphasizing the great value and delicious food as the main draws.

Visited on a very warm Monday afternoon but being positioned on the corner, it seemed to benefit from a nice welcome breeze. Ordered a small and large cider battered fish (cod) and chips, as you can see from the picture, it looked delicious and it taste as good as it looks. Premises very fresh and clean looking, staff very polite and attentive, checking if everything was ok. The fish had a nice bubbly and buttery batter, taste delicious, nice fresh home cooked crispy chips. Would definitely visit again and would definitely recommend 😉

Super lunch beautifully cooked. Service is friendly and quick. Would recommend this traditional pub better than any of the chain food outlets available.
